Q: I’ve noticed I need a member number or NRDS # to access some of C.A.R. Services. Where do I find it?
A: If you have already received a copy of the California Real Estate Magazine, look for your number on the label, or contact Santa Clara Association of REALTORS® at 408-445-5066 or via email membership@sccaor.com.
Q: How do I change my address in C.A.R. records?
A. Your records are updated by the Santa Clara Association of Realtors® and require a membership change form.

Q. Why haven’t I received my magazine?
A. Allow C.A.R. 3-4 weeks to process your information.
Q. The legal Section Online is for C.A.R. members only. What do I do when my password doesn’t seem to work?
A. Access to the Legal Section is another Benefit of your membership. Confirm your membership with the Santa Clara Association of REALTORS® at 408-445-5066 or via email membership@sccaor.com.
Q. Is it possible to buy Winforms if I am not a member of C.A.R?
A. Yes. Go to Winforms.com and click on Winforms Desktop and download for $499.00. You must be a real estate licensee or an Attorney to purchase.
Q: Why does it show that my Winforms are going to expire when I have paid my fees?
A. 30 days prior to you expiration date, you will be notified that your library is going to expire in a specific number of days. The renewal is on an annual basis and is free to members of the California Association of Realtors®. To renew, just click on RENEW on www.winforms.com
Q: What is the Redemption Code?
A. Redemption code is your specific number to register for Winforms Desktop. You can find your redemption code by clicking on ABOUT under the HELP menu in Winforms Desktop.
Q. What if I’ve lost my Redemption code?
A. Click on www.Winforms.com, click on “YES, I have registered for Winforms,”
Click on “I need to obtain a redemption code.” Enter your member number and password, accept the license agreement after reading. Print the redemption code for your records.
Q. How do I change my company information in Winforms?
A. Your information must be changed by SCCAOR before you can change it in Winforms.
Q. When does C.A.R. update forms and software?
A. In April and October
Q. How do I download Winforms Updates?
A. Go to www.winforms.com Winforms Desktop. Click on “Forms Update.”

Q. How do I get the password I need to get into Winforms?
A. Go into www.car.org using your NRDS number as the Member ID. Once registered, you will be given a password.
Q. Why do they call it your NRDS number?
A. It’s your NATIONAL REALTORS® DATA SYSTEM NUMBER,
given to you by the National Association of REALTORS®
Q. If I need to talk to an Attorney, who do I contact?
A. Call the C.A.R. Legal Hotline at 213-739-8282 and have your NRDS number available.
Q. I am a Broker who needs Legal advise, who do I call?
A. Call the C.A.R. Broker/Owner Legal Hotline at 213-739-8350 and have your NRDS number available.
Q. How do I find out about all the benefits that are provided by C.A.R.

Q. How do I find another Association?
A. Go to” Local Associations” on www.car.org
Q. What is CLIENT DIRECT?
A. It’s a newsletter that C.A.R. will send, via email, to anyone you would like to send it to letting them know you are now a Realtor®. This is a real estate related newsletter. Go to 
www.car.org and click on CLIENT DIRECT for complete instructions.
Q. What is RELAY”?
A. RELAY is a program that synchronizes with Zipform® online and Winforms Online®, easily manages transaction activities, contacts and documents. Creates high-impact listing and closing CDs and offers secure, 24/7 access to all transaction participants.
Q. How much does RELAY cost?
A. $149.00 per year per agent use. There is no per transaction fee. Go to
www.car.org. for more information.
Q. How do I become an honorary member of C.A.R. for life?
A. C.A.R requires you to be 75 years of age and have Realtor® membership for 25 years. Once approved you are not required to pay your Local or C.A.R dues. Contact SCCAOR if you fulfill these requirements.
