Code of Ethics Training Requirements

What is the policy?

NAR’s Board of Directors approved a change to the Code of Ethics training requirement, extending it from every two years to every three years. The current cycle 7 deadline is from January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2024.

REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®

 


How can I check my Code of Ethics status?

Visit the NAR Website and log in to your account. On the “My Education” section, you will see your Code of Ethics status.


What classes will fulfill my Code of Ethics requirement?

NAR offers a free online Code of Ethics course that fulfills the requirement. You can take this class with NAR here. Once you have completed the Code of Ethics, your record with be updated within 24 hours.

SCCAOR also offers classes throughout the year.  Check the calendar, or watch for announcements.
