What is the REALTOR® Party?

The REALTOR® Party protects and promotes homeownership and private property rights with resources contributed through the REALTOR® Action Fund. We advocate REALTOR® Party values in the halls of government which makes critical decisions that impact your business. Your leadership team on REALTOR® Party Issues includes the Association Board of Directors, Local Government Relations Committee, Local Candidate Recommendation Committee, and Government Affairs Director.

What is the REALTOR® Action Fund?

RAF collects funds to protect private property rights, homeownership, and YOUR business. We helped save tax deductions that help homeowners save money. In the tax reform bill recently passed by Congress deductions for property taxes and mortgage interest were preserved. We have also successfully fought back against taxes on your commission and unnecessary fees on home buyers because of the efforts of our members. We need your continued support and contributions. Please contribute online now or on your annual dues.

City of San Jose ADU Resources

San Jose Preapproved ADUs

Are you looking for a faster, lower-cost way to an accessory dwelling unit (ADU)? ADU designers/builders who offer standard construction plan layouts that are preapproved can offer their customers the City’s fastest, lowest-cost permit process.

San Jose ADU Amnesty Program

Did you construct an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) or convert a garage, basement, or room into a separate living unit — also called an ADU — without obtaining a building permit? Between now and January 2022, the City of San José is offering an ADU Amnesty Program to help you legalize your unit. Importantly, the program improves the safety of these units and helps to expand the City’s legal housing stock.

Additional ADU Resources

ADU Regulations for Your Lot

Find out whether you are allowed to build an ADU on your property. Everything you need from local regulations, permits required, and proper procedures to legally build an ADU on your property.
