The SCCAOR General Membership Meeting was held on Thursday, February 18, 2021. It featured guest speakers Tommy Choi and Kristian Hoysradt from the National Association of REALTORS®. We also heard state updates from Sean Bellach,  Government Affairs Field Representative from the California Association of REALTORS®.

Mark Messimer from MLSListings, Inc., gave an industry update and a preview of his upcoming MLS Monday session. Finally, we heard a report from Gustavo Gonzalez on the recent C.A.R. Winter meetings and a quick SCCAOR update from Spencer High.

The Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® (SCCAOR) installed Doug as its President during a virtual ceremony on January 7, 2021. He will serve as the 2021 President of SCCAOR, a real estate trade organization that represents over 6,400 REALTOR® and Affiliate members in Santa Clara County.

“I am honored to represent the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® this year for their 125th Anniversary,” said Goss. “I look forward to working with our leadership team and serving our 6,000+ members to ensure that SCCAOR has the resources needed to provide our members ‘best in class’ resources and services. I also aim to strengthen and expand our relationships with our Broker community and create high-quality career-advancing educational course content for our members. Lastly, I plan to promote the role SCCAOR plays in protecting private property rights and increasing opportunities for homeownership.”

Goss has been a licensed REALTOR®  since 1994. He is a Principal of Keller Williams Bay Area Estates, Keller Williams Coastal Estates and Keller Williams Commercial South Bay with offices in Carmel, Los Gatos, Pacific Grove, Saratoga and Salinas. 

“We are so fortunate to have a REALTOR® of Doug’s caliber as our president,” said SCCAOR CEO Neil Collins. “He is a true professional that holds himself to the highest standards.”

In addition to serving his clients, he is a very active leader at SCCAOR, serving on the Board of Directors since 2015. He also served on the Education Committee, the Santa Clara County REALTORS® Foundation, Finance Committee, Executive Committee, Chair of the Grievance Committee in 2016, Vice President in 2018, and President-Elect in 2020. Doug also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the California Association of REALTORS®.

Other 2021 SCCAOR Officers that were installed at the event include Lisa Faria (President-Elect), Don Jessup (Vice President), and William Chea (Treasurer/Secretary). They will be joined by SCCAOR Board of Directors, which includes: Ryan Alter, Kip Barnard, Jen Beehler, Kevin Cole, Kraig Constantino, Gustavo Gonzalez, Gene Hunt, Sandy Jamison, DeVonna Meyer, Elizabeth Monley, William Rehbock, John Scaglione, Rick Smith, and Jenny Zhao.

The Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® (SCCAOR) installed Sandy Jamison as its President during an evening ceremony at the Hayes Mansion on January 24. She will serve as the 2020 President of SCCAOR, a real estate trade organization that represents over 6,400 REALTOR® and Affiliate members in Santa Clara County.

“I am honored and privileged to assume the role of the President of the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS®,” said Jamison. “My theme this year is ‘A Strategic Vision for The Future’. I am fortunate this year to have the unique opportunity to lead and set the strategic vision for the organization for the next three years. I intend to put a hard focus on supporting SCCAOR’s mission of providing real and measurable benefits and value to our members while also fiercely protecting and preserving private property rights and promoting homeownership. By taking a hard look at our vision we can build in the momentum for the next decade.”

Jamison has been buying and selling real estate both personally and professionally since 1997. She founded Tuscana Properties in 2008 after spending 10 years working in high tech companies like eBay and Advanced Micro Devices. 

In addition to serving her clients, she is a very active leader at SCCAOR, serving on the Board of Directors since 2015. She also served as Grievance Committee Chair in 2015, Education Committee Chair in 2015 & 2016, Professional Standards Committee Director since 2016, Local Candidate Review Committee Chair in 2017, Treasurer in 2018, and President-Elect in 2019. Additionally, she won SCCAOR REALTOR® of the Year in 2016. 

SCCAOR CEO Neil Collins said that SCCAOR is so fortunate to have such a productive REALTOR® of Sandy’s caliber as President for 2020. “She is a true visionary and is eager to apply her corporate background to successfully lead SCCAOR into the next decade,” he said. 

Other SCCAOR Officers that were installed include Doug Goss (President-Elect), Lisa Faria (Vice President), and Stephen Theard (Treasurer/Secretary). They will be joined by SCCAOR Board of Directors, which includes: Kip Barnard, Jen Beehler, Frank Cancilla, William Chea, Kevin Cole, Kraig Constantino, Derek Essary, Gustavo Gonzalez Don Jessup, Elizabeth Monley, Gabrielle Perez, Tam Quach, William Rehbock, John Scaglione, and Rick Smith.

Members of the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® (SCCAOR) donated hundreds of toys and pajamas at their recent Member Holiday Mixer event. In addition to the donations, a total of $2536 was raised during the event, with all donations and money raised during the event went to the Kinship, Adoptive and Foster Parent Association.

“It was amazing to see the generosity of the REALTOR® Family,” said Gustavo Gonzalez, SCCAOR President. “KAFPA is an amazing organization that does great work for our community. We are truly honored to be able to support them each year with these donations.”

KAFPA is a nonprofit that provides resources and advocates for the needs of foster and adoptive families in Santa Clara County. They provide youth programming and family programming, serving over 300 foster, kinship, and adoptive parents and about 1600 foster, kinship, and adoptive and biological children.

The Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® (SCCAOR) installed Kevin Cole as its President during an evening ceremony at the Dolce Hayes Mansion on January 26. He will serve as the 2018 President of SCCAOR, a real estate trade organization that represents over 6,000 REALTORS® and Affiliate members in Santa Clara County.

“We are honored to have such a respected individual as Kevin Cole step up as a leader for this Association,” said Neil Collins, SCCAOR CEO. “I have no doubt that he will lead us well.”

Cole is the Broker-of-Record for Alain Pinel Realtors, the fifth largest residential real estate company in the United States. He has been a licensed REALTOR® for over 29 years and has served on SCCAOR’s Board of Directors since 2013.

“It’s an honor to lead an Association with such a rich history. I am excited to work with our strong leadership team to help promote homeownership,” said Cole. “I recognize the challenges that our market has with affordable housing and I look forward to engaging on this issue with the community.”
